The burden of living with viruses.

The burden of living with virus.

Some viruses are like pouring milk into your coffee, easy to get in but very difficult to get out. There is quite a list of viruses that once poured in seem to want to stay. Such as the normal chicken pots, covid19, ebola, herpes the common cold and ofcourse flu etc. However there are also some less well known viruses. Some of these other viruses do not even have names yet.

If you are unlucky enough to have a virus.

Viruses need building blocks to multiply. It is probably common knowledge how viruses replicate. When a virus enters a cell it hijacks the cells machinary to make more virus copies. This invasion is detectable in most cases by the body and if you give your immune system some time to react it will eventually battle with the unwanted invader. Only some invaders are a problem.

So what is one to do about viruses that one does not want.

We can mostly ignore all the other viruses that we know so little about, we are at the cutting edge of scientific research and we are still waiting to see what they are and what we should do about them. However, the viruses that we do not want in us is enough to be getting on with. Some viruses can cause or lead to cancer, Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV), Kaposi Sarcoma-Associated Herpesvirus (KSHV), Merkel Cell Polyomavirus (MCV), Human Papillomavirus (HPV), Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 (HIV-1, or HIV), Human T-Cell Lymphotropic Virus Type 1 (HTLV-1) and Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV). However, it is normally a relatively rare thing for this to happen. Most of these viruses tend to stick around. This website page above does not mention anything about how the virus might progress to cancer or whether there is anything anyone can do about it. However, in he says that cancer is looking like it is a respiratory dysfunction in the mitochondria. Further he says that what seems to cause the dysfunction is a buildup of metabolic waste inside the cell through ROS (reactive oxygen species), which are a subset of free radicals. This suggests to me that these viruses are increasing the likelihood that mitochondria are being loaded up with extra cellular waste.

What can one do about cellular waste buildup.

So as luck would have it our trillions of mitochondria have a little adaption that enables them to These data suggest that OMM Cyb5R3 and its NADH:semidehydroascorbic acid reductase activity might contribute to the protection and normal functioning of the cell, as well as protection of its mitochondrial electron transport chain (ETC). Which is similar to another NIH paper This may be really good news for anyone hoping to find something they can do that might work in slowing down or even preventing the metabolic waste buildup inside our cells in general. Vitamin C has an extra electron which means that the negatively charged free radical molecules are in general attracted to each molecule of vitamin C. This is because free radicals have an unpaired electron, so they bind together with vitamin C. It is this unpaired electron that makes free radicals so dangerous, because they can go around the body distablising other molecules by stealing an electron.

Lectins and virus.

So keeping the mitochondria free radial free with vitamin C is a good start (discussed above), but what about virus that just makes us sick. Can we do anything to hinder them and help ourselves. This article from the NIH (national institute of health) maybe suggesting that avoiding some lectins present in food may help as this quote below might reveal. Similarly here we maybe seeing that some plant lectins then go someway to limiting or indeed fighting virus. Further to this it is proposed by Dr Gundry and this website writen by Karla Tafra, Nutritionist that one can even reduce the activity of some of these bad lectins with lectin blockers.
